The Mercury News: “Election 2026: Wicks battles challenger Rendón in upcoming District 14 race”

“Voters in California’s 14th Assembly District are set to choose in November between incumbent Democrat Assemblymember Buffy Wicks or progressive Green Party challenger Mark Rendón.

In the June primary election, Wicks received 81% of the vote to Rendón’s 10%. Borgar Solnordal, the race’s third Republican competitor, received 9% of the vote and did not advance to the November general election.

‘My number one priority, the reason why I’m campaigning, remains Medicare for all in California,’ Rendón told Bay Area News Group. ‘It’s just way overdue. It’s way past time to get it passed.’”
